ℹ️
This Privacy Policy explains how Sarth handles your information. Sarth is an information platform — it provides court and legal information to help you make decisions, and is not a substitute for legal advice.

1. Who we are

The Sarth legal application and this website ("Sarth", "we", "us", or "our") are developed by Sun Integrated Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (SITA), the technology development arm of the MGRM Group, under the digital initiative of MGRM Digital Cloud Services Pvt. Ltd. (MDCS). Sarth is hosted and managed on the SooLegal platform. For any privacy-related question, you can contact us at help@sarthlegal.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details such as your name, email address, and mobile number when you register or contact us.
  • Case-related information you enter or save, such as party names, case numbers, CNR numbers, and courts you track.
  • Details you submit through forms — for example, a "Find My Case" research request or a contact enquiry.
  • Payment-related information processed by our payment partners when you subscribe to a premium plan (we do not store full card details).

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information such as device type, operating system, app version, and interaction logs.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address, used for security and to improve results.
  • Cookies and similar technologies on the website — see Section 7.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide core features — case search, tracking, hearing reminders, judgment access, and the Find My Case service.
  • To create and manage your account and subscription.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send service-related notifications, and (with your consent where required) product updates.
  • To maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • To improve and develop our features and content.

4. Legal bases and your consent

We process your information where you have given consent, where processing is necessary to provide the service you requested, to comply with a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Sarth. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time as described in Section 8.

5. Court data and public records

Sarth surfaces information from official court databases and the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG), and from other public legal sources. Court case records are public records. Your personal engagement with Sarth — the cases you save, searches you run, and requests you submit — is treated as private and handled under this Policy.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only:

  • With service providers who process data on our behalf (for example hosting, analytics, payment, and communications), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
  • Within the MGRM Group and the SooLegal platform to operate and support the service.
  • Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
  • In connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

8. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to raise a grievance. To exercise these rights, contact us at help@sarthlegal.com. We will respond within the timelines required by law.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for the periods required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

Sarth is intended for use by legal professionals and adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Grievance officer

In accordance with applicable Indian law, a Grievance Officer will be designated to address your concerns. Contact details will be published here. Until then, you may reach us at help@sarthlegal.com. [Grievance Officer name, designation, and address to be confirmed.]

13. Changes to this Policy
